Customers are asked to call the Register of Deeds’ Office for appointments for marriage licenses and notary oaths (919-560-0493).

To record a deed, the fee is $26 for the first fifteen pages and $4 for each additional page. A deed of trust or mortgage is $64 for up to 35 pages and $4 for each additional page. Multiple instruments in one document will be $10 each. Additional subsequent instrument index references are $25.
